About the Firm:
Hartounian, APLC is a plaintiff-side personal injury boutique in Glendale handling auto, motorcycle, and trucking collisions, premises liability, dog bite, elder abuse, and lemon law matters. We serve clients in English, Armenian, Spanish, Farsi, and Russian, and we are growing on both ends of the case: senior trial counsel to try cases, and this seat to work them up.

This is a litigation seat, not a trial seat. You own the file from pre-litigation demand through mediation. Seasoned trial counsel takes it from there.

What You Will Own

Pre-litigation workup: demand packages, policy limit demands, and negotiations with carriers
Pleadings, demurrers, and law-and-motion practice
Written discovery, both propounding and responding, with meet-and-confer through resolution
Taking and defending depositions
CMCs, law-and-motion hearings, and ex parte appearances
Mediation preparation and expert discovery support
Deadline and calendar management across an active docket, with paralegal support

What We Require:

Active California Bar license in good standing
3+ years of civil litigation experience with a strong command of the CCP, the California Rules of Court, and LASC practice
Clean, persuasive legal writing
Disciplined calendaring and case management across a real caseload
Trial experience is not required. First-chair work stays with trial counsel, and second-chair opportunities exist if you want to grow into trial work.

Insurance defense associates are expressly welcome. If you have spent the last several years writing motions and taking depositions for carriers and want to switch sides, this seat was built for you.
