Description:
The ideal candidate will be bilingual Spanish speaker who will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by negotiating resolutions in property damage claims and advocating for clients in court. This individual will build client relationships and provide an excellent customer experience for clients.Position can be performed remotely but will require travel if hearings and other court proceedings require in person appearance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage caseload
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
- Prepare legal pleadings, discovery/discovery responses, motions and other litigations documents
- Provide legal representation to clients
- Maintain client relationships
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge and experience in first party property litigation a plus.
- General knowledge and understanding in all phases of litigation from pleadings through trial.
- knowledge and experience taking and defending depositions a plus.
- Must have strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must have effective time management skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, court personnel, opposing counsel, clients, and office staff in a professional manner.
- Ability to delegate and prioritize as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Good Standing Member of the Florida Bar.
- Must have knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be technologically confident, very comfortable using process management systems and effectively utilizes available technology and automation.
