This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who wants meaningful client interaction, courtroom experience, deposition practice, trial preparation, and the support of a firm that invests in its attorneys' success.

We handle a variety of dispute-based matters, with a strong focus on helping clients navigate real-world conflicts that often have a significant impact on their personal or business lives. Our attorneys also have opportunities to contribute to articles, educational content, and thought leadership initiatives that help shape conversations within our practice areas and build their professional reputations.

You'll work alongside attorneys who have helped establish and expand one of the nation's most recognized homeowner advocacy practices, gaining hands-on experience while developing meaningful subject-matter expertise.

What You'll Do:
As a Litigation Associate Attorney, you will work closely with experienced attorneys who provide guidance, mentorship, and strategic support.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing litigation matters from filing through resolution.
  • Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related documents.
  • Conducting legal research and prepare written analyses supporting case strategy.
  • Taking and defending depositions, prepare witnesses, and assist with trial preparation.
  • Appearing at hearings, case management conferences, mediations, arbitrations, and other court proceedings.
  • Collaborating with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and evaluate risks and opportunities throughout a case.
  • Communicating regularly with clients regarding case developments, litigation strategy, and expectations.
  • Managing litigation deadlines, court filings, and procedural requirements.
  • Participating in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings when appropriate.
  • Staying current on developments in California law and procedural rules.

What We're Looking For:
We're seeking someone who is confident, resourceful, and committed to delivering excellent client service.

Preferred Qualifications include:
  • 2–4+ years of civil litigation experience.
  • Experience handling discovery, law and motion practice, and court appearances.
  • Experience taking or defending depositions and preparing matters for trial.
  • Strong legal writing, analysis, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload while collaborating with a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and strong client-relations skills.
  • Experience participating in mediations, settlement conferences, and other ADR proceedings.
  • Experience with, or an interest in learning, California homeowner association law and the Davis-Stirling Act.
  • Experience in real estate, business, administrative, personal injury, or family law is a plus.
