Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated 3-6 year Litigation Associate Attorney specializing in Insurance Defense and Civil Litigation to join our energetic legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing complex litigation cases, providing strategic legal counsel, and advocating for clients in a variety of civil disputes. Your expertise will help shape successful outcomes while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Responsibilities:
  • Manage all phases of civil litigation cases from inception through trial, including pleadings, discovery, motions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
  • Draft clear, persuasive legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements that effectively communicate case positions.
  • Engage in negotiation with opposing counsel to resolve disputes efficiently while protecting client interests.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert guidance on legal options across practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and others.
  • Maintain meticulous case files and documentation adhering to legal administrative standards.
  • Represent clients confidently in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions while demonstrating strong advocacy skills.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar.
  • Proven experience in litigation with a focus on insurance defense or civil litigation cases.
  • Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms to gather relevant legal information efficiently.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce compelling legal drafting that clearly articulates case arguments.
  • Demonstrated negotiation abilities to facilitate favorable settlements or resolutions.
  • Familiarity with a broad spectrum of legal practice areas including personal injury law, workers' compensation law, estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law.
  • Prior legal administrative experience ensuring accurate case management and documentation.
