Description:
The Opportunity:FGMC is seeking an experienced associate attorney, ideally with 5-7 years of general civil litigation experience, to join our Denver office. An ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: business or corporate litigation, employment law, or real estate and construction law. This is a strong opportunity for a litigator ready to take on substantial case responsibility and play a visible role on the firm's litigation team.
The successful candidate will manage cases from intake through resolution, including drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, taking and defending depositions, leading discovery strategy, and appearing in state and federal courts. Candidates with broad litigation experience and the confidence to handle matters with minimal supervision are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active membership in good standing with the Colorado Bar
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
- 5+ years of civil litigation experience
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently from inception through resolution
- Substantive deposition, motions practice, and courtroom experience
- Working knowledge of the Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a litigation team
Preferred:
- First-chair or co-counsel trial experience
- Experience with e-discovery platforms such as Everlaw or similar tools
This position is based in FGMC's Denver office. We value the collaboration and mentorship that come from working together in person, with a hybrid schedule available after an initial onboarding period.
Compensation:
The starting base salary range for this position is $160,000–$185,000 annually, depending on the candidate's skills, training, qualifications, and experience.
In addition to base salary, associate attorneys are eligible for client origination and a non-discretionary bonus payable at defined productivity tiers.
