The renowned Arnold & Porter Life Sciences & Healthcare Regulatory practice focuses on providing comprehensive assistance to our clients in all areas of life sciences product and healthcare provider/supplier regulation. Our clients include a broad range of life sciences entities, from global enterprises to emerging developers and manufacturers of drugs, biologics, medical devices, diagnostics, foods/dietary supplements, and cosmetics, as well as laboratories, leading trade and professional organizations, and research institutions. We take an interdisciplinary approach which allows associates an opportunity to work closely with attorneys in our litigation, transactions, IP, and other practice areas, and we invest heavily in substantive associate training and mentoring. The Life Sciences and Healthcare Regulatory Practice Group handles cutting edge, high-profile matters in the fraud and abuse and drug pricing areas, including working on precedent-setting litigation and internal investigations, and commenting on key rulemakings. We provide regular counseling in these areas to trade associations, large global pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech companies as well as emerging innovator companies.Qualified candidates for this position should have at least three years of substantive experience in drug and fraud and abuse matters (experience in drug pricing matters is required, including the 340B Program and the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program); strong research, writing and analytic skills; and an ability to work independently and creatively, as well as an ability to work successfully as part of a team. All applicants should have excellent academic credentials and references.
Applicants must currently be licensed, or currently eligible to become licensed, to practice law in the jurisdiction(s) where they apply.
The salary range for this position in Boston, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Silicon Valley, and Washington, DC is $235,000 to $365,000, commensurate with experience. Eligibility for an hours-based bonus available.
