Description:
The Role:You'll carry your own caseload of Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act matters from filing through resolution. You'll handle PMQ and technician depositions, law and motion, 998 strategy, and fee motions, and you'll negotiate directly with manufacturer counsel.
A few things worth knowing before you apply:
- This is litigation, not volume processing. Caseloads are kept at [X] cases per attorney, with paralegal and case management support behind you.
- You'll work directly with the firm's senior attorneys every day. Deposition and motion work comes early, not after two years of doc review.
- Every case is the same body of law. Depth builds fast, and your leverage against manufacturer counsel builds with it.
What you bring:
- Active California bar membership (required)
- 1 to 5 years of civil litigation experience. We'll also consider more senior candidates with strong Song-Beverly backgrounds.
- Lemon law or consumer warranty experience strongly preferred, from either the plaintiff or defense side. If you're currently defending manufacturers and want to switch sides, we'd like to hear from you.
- Strong legal writing and the drive to run your own cases
- In the office five days a week in Woodland Hills. That's intentional. The fastest way to get great at this work is being in the room with people who already are.
