We are currently seeking a Legal Writing Attorney to join our court-based Immigration Department. This position is ideal for an attorney with strong legal writing and analytical skills who is comfortable handling complex immigration matters, managing deadlines, and working in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Position Responsibilities:
The Legal Writing Attorney will be responsible for:

Drafting, reviewing, and finalizing immigration court filings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents.
Conducting legal research and analyzing applicable immigration laws, regulations, case law, and court decisions.
Developing persuasive legal arguments and written strategies for immigration court cases.
Reviewing case facts and evidence to identify legal issues, defenses, and potential forms of relief.
Overseeing and assisting with the preparation of court-based cases and ensuring filings are accurate, complete, and submitted timely.
Managing and maintaining personal case deadlines and ensuring all assigned work is completed within required timeframes.
Reviewing and providing legal guidance on work prepared by paralegals and other members of the legal team.
Communicating with clients regarding case status, legal strategy, court proceedings, and requested documentation as needed.
Collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and management to ensure cases are progressing appropriately.
Maintaining detailed and accurate case notes and documentation.
Handling additional legal and administrative responsibilities delegated by management.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of immigration law experience preferred, but not required.
Must be licensed to practice law by a State Bar Association or otherwise authorized to practice immigration law.
Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned cases and responsibilities.
Skilled in legal argument, negotiation, debate, and persuasion.
Prior immigration court experience strongly preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail.
