To support the legal department's transition to greater efficiency and impact by contributing legal expertise to the development and execution of knowledge management structures and the adoption of automation, artificial intelligence, and other legal technology tools. This role will work closely with attorneys and IT, and work to bridge the gap between legal subject matter expertise and legal operations, ensuring that tools and systems are grounded in practical legal workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluating Legal-used Tech Tools and Solutions
    • Conduct legal analysis of systems, tools, LLMs and vendors from a legal practitioner's viewpoint.
      • Collaborate with legal personnel and subject matter experts in legal practice groups to understand pain points in current processes and tools
      • Help develop optimal tech-based solutions (internally or externally) to department challenges
      • Help develop evaluation criteria for new tool and platforms
      • Collaborate with IT and other TI business groups as needed
  • Participate in product demos and pilot testing of automation and AI-enhanced legal tools.
  • Provide closed-loop feedback based on hands-on legal tasks, ensuring that tool and system functions align with actual legal practice needs of all practice groups.
  • Support Knowledge Management (KM) Initiatives
    • Collaborate with legal operations and legal practice groups to identify and structure key legal team global knowledge assets.
    • Assist in organizing and implementing KM system(s) to ensure proper structure to feed automation, artificial intelligence, and other streamlining tools.
    • Develop and implement maintenance plan for KM systems.
  • Contribute to Legal Process Mappin
    • Work with subject matter experts to identify legal process pain points, inconsistencies, and opportunities for streamlining from a practitioner's perspective.
    • Participate in process improvement discussions, contributing practical insight into how legal tasks are executed.
  • Assist in Implementation and Training
    • Help prepare internal webpages, videos, user guides, quick reference materials, and internal FAQs for new tools and processes.
    • Support training sessions for other attorneys and legal staff by providing legal-specific use cases and context.
    • Act as an internal resource to answer questions and troubleshoot from an attorney perspective.
  • Contribute to Change Management
    • Serve as a liaison between attorneys and operations/IT by translating legal needs into operational or technical requirements.
    • Gather informal feedback from legal peers and communicate concerns or suggestions back to project leads.
    • Monitor legal tech trends and recommend innovations aligned with business needs.
    • Measure impact and ROI of initiatives and tools implemented.
    • Help foster a culture of adoption by modeling openness to new tools and workflows.
  • Collaborate on Data Collection and Metrics
    • Partner with legal operations and legal practice groups to help define and refine metrics that reflect legal team activity and productivity.
    • Support efforts to analyze cycle times, volume trends, and legal team outputs for improved planning.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
  • JD with active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 3+ years of legal practice experience (in-house or law firm), with exposure to contract review, regulatory, or transactional work

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational skills and interest in legal operations, technology, and efficiency.
  • Comfortable using legal technology tools and learning new systems (e.g., CLM platforms, document management systems).
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and capable of working across teams with diverse stakeholders.
