Job Description:
  • In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment, supporting Bosch's growing HVAC business in North America. This position will report to the senior attorney responsible for the Bosch Home Comfort division in North America.
  • This role provides comprehensive legal support on a wide range of commercial and transactional matters including business consulting, contract drafting and negotiation, with a strong focus on distribution, sales channel management, and product regulatory compliance.
  • The candidate must be a self-starter and have an ability to effectively work with all levels within the organization and collaboratively with our global colleagues. Key job responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
  • Advise and consult with business, engineering, sales, and legal teams regarding a variety of legal and commercial issues
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry-specific regulations to provide insight into legal issues that arise from the business
  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including those relating to sales, distribution, procurement, IP license, and non-disclosure agreements in alignment with applicable laws and internal Bosch policies and directives
  • Work with legal and business teams to ensure compliance with legal obligations
  • Deliver internal training on legal matters
  • Some travel, both domestic and international, may be required, as needed

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • J.D. from a U.S. accredited law school
  • Member of relevant bar in good standing or eligible for relevant bar admission
  • 3+ years of experience as a practicing commercial/transactional attorney
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years as an in-house counsel in a corporate environment
  • Experience with distribution networks and dealer programs, including distribution agreements, and IP licensing
  • Experience in the HVAC industry
  • Experience collaborating with international teams
