About the role:We are seeking a meticulous and highly skilled Legal Drafting Attorney to lead the legal writing and research efforts for EB-1A petitions. This role is central to ensuring the quality, clarity, and strategic effectiveness of all legal documents produced by our caseworkers and legal team.
You will be responsible for reviewing and finalizing all legal drafts, including Recommendation Letters, Petition Support Letters, and supporting exhibits, before they are submitted for attorney sign-off. This position requires exceptional legal writing and analytical skills, as well as the ability to guide and elevate the work of junior legal staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Writing & Research
- Draft and revise high-level legal documents, including Recommendation Letters and Petition Support Letters, with a focus on persuasive, accurate, and well-supported arguments.
- Ensure consistency and alignment across all case materials, including client questionnaires, supporting documents, and client edits.
- Conduct legal research to support complex petition narratives and ensure compliance with USCIS standards.
- Draft specialized sections such as High Remuneration and other evidentiary components.
- Take ownership of the final version of all legal writings prior to submission.
- Review and refine drafts produced by Case Workers and the Head of Legal Affairs.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to ensure all documents meet firm standards.
- Ensure all client edits are properly incorporated and finalized.
- Coordinate with the Head of Legal Affairs to ensure smooth case progression and timely filings.
- Monitor drafting timelines and ensure all phases—from initial draft to final version—are completed accurately.
- Liaise with lead attorney and clients to resolve drafting-related issues and clarify legal strategy.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar license required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in immigration law, preferably EB-1A, NIW, or employment-based petitions.
- Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills.
- Experience reviewing and mentoring legal staff or paralegals.
- Familiarity with Lawmatics or similar legal task management platforms is a plus.
