A day in the life:
- Serve as a respected advisor to business clients on a variety of commercial issues.
- Practice superior legal judgment and communicate clearly to all stakeholders.
- Provide advice on a variety of commercial legal matters.
- Participate as a valued member of cross-functional leadership teams supporting businesses within the segment.
- Collaborate with other members of the Legal Department to facilitate the deployment and adoption of An American Company enterprise contract lifecycle management system throughout the organization.
- Identify opportunities for and offer training to business clients on various legal, regulatory, and compliance topics.
- Confer with other members of the Legal Department and subject matter experts, as needed, to ensure contracts comply with internal policies.
- Manages external counsel and sets budgets for case activities. Reviews and approves invoices for assigned matters.
