Your Mission:
In this role, you will act as primary counsel to The Third-Largest Pizza Chain (and its affiliates') International team, work independently to provide legal advice on the following topics, as well as on assigned projects:
- Franchising and licensing
- Real estate and development
- Operations
- Marketing and Advertising
- Supply Chain and Importation
- Trademarks
- Dispute Resolution
- Corporate governance
- Transactional matters
- Food Safety
- Food labeling
How you will make an impact:
- Under the direction of the Assistant General Counsel, carries out assigned legal activities of the organization.
- Prepares and reviews various legal instruments and documents, including contracts, leases, licenses, purchases sales, real estate, etc.
- Negotiating and/or drafting complex or critical international agreements.
- Researching and drafting policies for approval. Assisting with implementation as needed.
- Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations for organization and ensures the organization is compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Conducts research and analysis of specific legal questions and scenarios and prepares a response.
- Manages outside counsel worldwide on a variety of matters.
- Handles other legal matters as assigned.
- Reviews legal publications and pending legislation and advises management of changes that impact the company. Monitors emerging legal trends and rulings.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of a particular content area, with broad reach in several other specialties.
- Manage one or more paralegals, providing guidance, coaching, mentoring, and inspiration.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree. Law Degree from an accredited U.S. law school. Admission to the bar of at least one of the 50 U.S. states.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with multiple individuals, including attorneys, senior management, and business colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and client needs.
- Proven capability of actively participating in and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Proven negotiation skills.
- Computer proficiency with strong knowledge and application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Evidence of ability to analyze, problem-solve and make decisions, including viable alternative options.
- Practical, business-oriented approach to problem-solving and the ability to effectively counsel clients by providing them with clear, concise advice, and creative solutions where necessary, on established timelines to meet their business needs.
- Professional, reliable, enthusiastic, self-reliant, self-motivated, and demonstrated ability to work well under pressure with all groups while addressing people courageously, directly, and candidly.
- Experience in domestic and/or international franchise law strongly preferred.
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide legal advice to people at all levels within the organization.

- Works in a hybrid or remote work environment.
- This position requires travel up to 10% of the time and ability to adhere to the corporate travel policies and procedures.
