The position of Legal Counsel will be primarily responsible for commercial (sales) contracts for the company's product and service offerings, including contract drafting and negotiation, and will also be involved with a variety of in-house legal responsibilities. This role will provide an excellent opportunity to grow into a role of increasing breadth and responsibility, based on the Company's dynamic business needs.

What You'll Do…
  • Draft, review, revise and negotiate a variety of contract types, including, but not limited to customer sales contracts, channel partner contracts and services agreements, license agreements, and software as a service.
  • Communicate contract risks and terms to internal business partners and work collaboratively with business leaders.
  • Provide business-oriented and practical advice and partner cross-functionally.
  • Provide appropriate training to sales and business unit personnel regarding relevant contractual provisions and risks.
  • Provide advice and assistance on a variety of other legal issues, including commercial, employment, and regulatory matters. Work collaboratively with members of legal and other departments.
  • Support continuous improvement of the contract review process.

What you will Bring…
  • J.D. from an accredited law school, membership in good standing to a state bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience within a law firm or corporate legal department, with a preference for prior in-house experience in the life sciences industry
  • Experience drafting and negotiating a variety of sales and service agreements.
  • Self-motivated, proactive approach with strong analytical skills and sound judgment
  • Outstanding organizational, writing, negotiating and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully partner with employees of all different levels throughout an organization to address business and legal issues.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions/ Schedule
  • Typical site-based, office environment with hybrid work options
  • May be asked and must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally as needed.
