The Bussey Law Firm is a respected and results-driven personal injury law firm with a reputation for delivering exceptional legal representation and securing significant outcomes for clients. With a strong commitment to client advocacy, we are expanding our team and looking for a passionate Personal Injury Attorney with proven litigation experience to join our growing practice.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced attorney to manage a caseload of personal injury matters, from pre-litigation through trial. The ideal candidate is confident in the courtroom, skilled in research, writing, and legal strategy, and dedicated to achieving the best results for clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a docket of personal injury cases from intake through resolution
  • Prepare demands, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents
  • Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Develop a case strategy and advise clients accordingly
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers
  • Supervise support staff as necessary (e.g., paralegals, case managers)
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records using legal case management software
  • Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence
  • Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
  • Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients' needs after analysis
  • Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Colorado and in good standing
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury
  • Demonstrated trial and courtroom experience
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
  • Client-focused, ethical, and driven to achieve justice
  • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
  • Able to work independently while handling multiple files
  • Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred
  • Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
  • Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required

Compensation:
$110,000 - $190,000 yearly
