Job Overview:We are seeking a part-time attorney to join our growing office. This role will focus on estate planning and provide direct client service while working collaboratively with our team. Prior estate planning knowledge is not required. The role starts as part time but has the opportunity to be expanded to full time. It is a hybrid position, and the in-office requirements mainly revolve around client meetings, and document signings. Primary responsibilities will be around estate planning but we are willing to discuss expanding services the law firm offers if you bring skills and knowledge in other areas of law. Compensation starts at $36/hour, profit sharing benefit (payout frequency is negotiable, quarterly or annually), and CLE reimbursement. We are open to negotiate on other benefits.
Duties:
- Draft legal documents such as revocable living trusts, wills, and other documents relating to Estate Planning.
- Manage case files and maintain organized records within the law office's administrative systems.
- Stay informed about current laws and regulations affecting various practice areas to provide accurate guidance.
- Meeting with clients to answer questions, and gather information needed for their estate plan.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Excellent writing skills for drafting.
- Proficiency in legal drafting and administrative tasks within the law firm.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite products, PDF, etc.
- Be an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in good standing.
