Job Description:
The Intern(s) will support the entire mission of the FARA Unit, reporting to the Deputy Section Chief, with coordinated assignments tasked by the Senior Counsel for FARA Administration, as well as the FARA Unit's Supervisory Program Manager. The Intern(s) will research legal questions and draft memoranda, letters, inspection reports, and advisory opinions. The Intern(s) will also review registration documents, conduct investigations, inspect foreign agent books and records, assess registration obligations, prepare briefing materials, respond to telephone inquiries, assist with presentations and supporting materials, and provide support for special projects.

Qualifications:
Open to all law students who satisfy the following requirements. Applicants do not need a security clearance, although such a clearance would be an asset. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited U.S.law school at the time of application and throughout their internship. Strong research and writing skills are required. Interest/ experience in civil litigation or experience in national security is highly preferred. Courses such as Civil/ Criminal Procedure, Evidence and Trial Practice are also helpful.
