About Us:
We are a well-established lemon law firm based in Los Angeles and handling cases statewide. Due to ongoing growth, we have a significant volume of motions that need to be prepared for filing, and we are seeking an experienced contract attorney to assist with these drafting projects. This position offers flexible hours, remote work, and consistent workload for the right candidate.

Position Overview:
The primary work will involve preparing and finalizing the following:
  • Motions for Attorney's Fees (including lodestar calculations and supporting documentation)
  • Motions to Compel (responses to discovery disputes, meet-and-confer letters, supporting declarations, etc.)
  • We provide templates and samples. The contract attorney will be responsible for tailoring the motions to the specific case facts, ensuring accuracy, legal sufficiency, and readiness for filing in California state courts.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, revise, and finalize motions using firm templates
  • Review case files, billing records, and existing pleadings to ensure accuracy in each motion
  • Prepare supporting declarations and exhibits as needed
  • Communicate with supervising attorneys as necessary for clarification or updates
  • Meet reasonable turnaround times based on assigned volume

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor and active state bar license (required)
  • Prior experience drafting civil motions, preferably in consumer law or litigation
  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with formatting, citations, and motion practice in California courts
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and produce high-quality written work
  • Experience specifically with fee motions and/or motions to compel is strongly preferred

Compensation:
We are open to hourly or flat-rate per motion within our approved budget range. Compensation will be determined based on experience, quality of writing samples, and expected weekly availability.
