An American Law Firm's Independent School Law group seeks a staff attorney with three or more years of experience in employment law to join the practice in the Washington, D.C. office. This practice focuses on providing counsel, advice, and support to K-12 private schools.

The successful candidate has excellent written communication skills and outstanding attention to detail. Qualified candidates will have significant broad-based experience in employment law; including drafting materials such as handbooks, severance agreements, employee contracts, liability waivers, vendor contracts, and other documents. They will have substantial experience in either employment litigation or counseling on issues of state and federal law and regulations. Candidates must hold a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to and in good standing with the relevant jurisdiction's bar.
