Description:

A Full-Service, Modern Law Firm is inviting experienced labor & employment attorneys to join its growing national practice.

How We Work:
Scale attorneys are not salaried; instead, A Full-Service, Modern Law Firm pays attorneys a percentage of the fees collected from their clients. Unlike in a traditional law firm setting, where attorneys typically receive a third of the value they create for the law firm, Scale attorneys net a combination of collected origination and matter responsible fees.

Who We're Seeking:
We're looking for an experienced labor & employment attorney who advises clients both large and small on employment law best practices. That likely includes experience…
  • Advising clients re: municipal, state, and federal regulations for litigation avoidance
  • With employee relations, severance and separation matters
  • Preparing companies for financing rounds, mergers and acquisitions, and initial public offerings from the labor & employment lens.
  • Representing clients in a variety of early-stage litigation matters, including claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, disability accommodation, wage-and-hour violations, etc.

You may be a perfect fit if:
  • You're currently advising local clients that have national labor & employment needs.
  • You'd benefit from plugging into a national team to expand your practice.
  • You have existing clients, a strong professional network and seek to grow your practice through BD efforts and by connecting with existing A Full-Service, Modern Law Firm client needs.

And if you have:
  • At least seven years of experience at a national or regional law firm or in-house with a reputable company.
  • Graduated from a top-tier law school or be able to demonstrate an excellent and sustained reputation in the industry.
  • An interest in having autonomy over your own practice while simultaneously teaming up with top-notch attorneys across our corporate, fintech, intellectual property, real estate and litigation practices.
  • A desire to practice at a high level with interesting clients, benefitting from the support, network and brand of a firm while also enjoying solo economics.

Association as Counsel. We are willing to accept attorneys from senior in-house positions with no demonstrable book as counsel. Because the firm's collections-based model only works for attorneys capable of developing client work, however, we require applicants to identify at least one anchor client and articulate a clear business development plan at association.

Partnership. To be considered for a lateral partnership, we ask that applicants be prepared to demonstrate a significant transferrable book of originations. Attorneys who have less are welcome to apply for a position as counsel.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
