Description:

Shartsis Friese LLP is seeking a mid-level or senior corporate tax associate (or counsel) to advise clients in the Firm's corporate/M&A and investment fund practices (candidates will work alongside both practice groups). The Firm's corporate/M&A practice work primarily involves mid-market M&A, as well as joint ventures (including real estate joint ventures) and early stage companies. The Firm's investment fund practice involves advising clients on the taxation of partnerships, corporations, offshore entities, and complex financial transactions, in connection with the Firm's representation of investment advisers, hedge funds, real estate funds, private equity funds, and venture capital funds. The candidate will work closely with the Firm's other tax attorneys, as well as with members of the Firm's corporate/M&A attorneys and the Firm's investment advisory attorneys in the representation of clients. Candidates should ideally possess 5 to 8 years of corporate tax transactional experience, superior academic credentials from nationally recognized law schools, and demonstrably superior legal writing skills.

The anticipated annual base salary wage range the Firm reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position is $310,000 to $370,000. The final annual base salary wage offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience, education, and other factors.
