San Diego based, Chambers listed and AV-rated, Construction and Business Law Firm with emphasis in public works and commercial construction seeks a LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT ATTORNEY (1-8 YEARS EXPERIENCE)We invite you to join our team of attorneys representing construction clients in all facets of their businesses. In addition to serving construction industry clients, our team offers Labor and Employment expertise in many non-construction sectors. This crossover knowledge of different industries' best practices provides valuable context on shaping prudent policy recommendations.
We handle issues from wage and hour disputes to harassment and discrimination claims to union grievances. If you have or would like experience with the California Labor Commissioner, the NLRB, Cal/OSHA or class action and representation PAGA lawsuits, this is for you. We also handle compliance training, preparing employee handbooks and workplace policies, reviewing and drafting employment contracts, and prevailing wage actions, to name a few.
Base Salary Range: $150,000 to $285,000 - dependent on class year and applicable experience
Applicants should have a strong academic background, ambition, and keen attention to detail. However, associates are given responsibilities and are compensated commensurate with their individual demonstrated drive and abilities. Associates receive a base salary, bonus based on hours, and a benefits package which is competitive in the San Diego market.
Associates are expected to independently analyze and recommend practical, cost-efficient legal solutions. Guidance is readily available and provided by partners and senior associates so as to ensure that new associates develop into goal-oriented problem solvers who earn clients' confidence.
