Intellectual Property & Transactional Law Firm, a growing mid-sized law firm located in New York City, Tampa and with a national presence, provides sophisticated counsel and representation to a wide range of clients in multiple practice areas. We are seeking an experienced labor and employment attorney in New York for our growing practice group. The ideal candidate has between 3-5 years of employment experience and is a dynamic self-starter who possesses excellent oral and written communication skills. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with clients and take significant responsibility for their matters while being mentored by a leading group of experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Advising clients on all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, contractual disputes, and wage and hour compliance;
  • Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, consulting agreements, and separation agreements, and advising clients in connection with employee hiring, discipline and termination;
  • Drafting employee handbooks and related policies;
  • Drafting and enforcing restrictive covenant agreements;
  • Monitoring and reviewing changes and developments in employment law;
  • Conducting research, preparing legal memoranda, pleadings, briefs, and related documents in litigation and/or arbitration;
  • Assisting in collective bargaining and handling traditional labor law matters;

Qualifications:
  • JD degree from an ABA accredited law school
  • NYS Bar Admission; New Jersey or Connecticut Admission is a plus,
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
