Miami, Florida multi-state insurance defense firm seeks junior, midlevel or senior defense attorney with litigation experience in any of the following: general liability, premises liability, automobile liability, wrongful death, and product defect. Candidates must have superior analytical and communication skills. We are looking for the right candidates to join our team in a fully remote-work position to work in the Orlando area. Applicants should be willing and able to travel for in person attendance at hearings, inspections, depositions, mediations, and trials in counties spanning from coast to coast across central Florida and into northern Florida, as needed.Seeking attorneys with any of the following experience:
- Defense attorneys admitted in Florida.
- Defense attorneys with 1-5 years bodily injury litigation experience in general liability, premises liability, automobile liability, wrongful death, and product defect. Trial experience preferred. Deposition and mediation experience required.
- Defense attorneys with 5+ years bodily injury litigation experience in general liability, premises liability, automobile liability, wrongful death, and product defect. Trial experience and extensive deposition experience, including of experts and depositions for trial, required.
- Managing own caseload
- Periodic in person meetings with overseeing partner(s) to review cases
- Drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
- Research and writing of memorandums
- Attending hearings and court conferences
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Attending inspections
- Consulting with expert witnesses
- Attending mediations
- Trial Preparation and conducting trials with partner(s)
- Trial Preparation and conducting trials as first or second chair with partner(s) (eligibility based on experience)
