The Portland, ME office of Fisher Phillips is seeking a Junior Employment Litigation Associate with 2-3 years of litigation experience to join our growing team. Ideal candidates will bring a desire to grow their skills and build their practice under the mentorship of seasoned attorneys while taking on meaningful, client-facing work immediately.About the role:
Qualified candidates will have experience handling litigation matters at various stages, from inception through resolution including:
- Drafting and responding to pleadings
- Managing written and electronic discovery, including e-discovery strategy
- Drafting dispositive and non-dispositive motions
- Arguing non-dispositive motions
- Preparing for and defending depositions
- Participating in mediations
While prior employment law experience is preferred, we are equally interested in litigators from other defense-side complex litigation practices who demonstrate a strong interest in developing an employment law practice and contributing to firm growth.
