Who You Are:
This position will report directly to Senior Corporate Counsel, with reporting responsibility to the Senior Director, Social Impact & Employee Relations. Both A Canada-Based Diversified Professional Services and Investment Management Company US Business and People Services team will be key stakeholders for the incumbent who will be focused on building and optimizing our US Compliance function.

What you bring:
  • JD or LL. B from an accredited university and must be admitted in at least one state.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience. Experience with compliance and/or employment law preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinker who has ability to assess risk and provide practical advice to key stakeholders.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and resourceful.
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and deliver excellent customer service at all levels of the organization. Ability to influence without authority by creating consensus.
  • Possess organizational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy, excellent product quality and attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
