Duties:
As a Junior Attorney, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
- Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and briefs with precision and clarity.
- Assisting in litigation processes, including preparing for trials and hearings.
- Engaging in negotiations on behalf of clients to reach favorable settlements.
- Providing legal guidance in areas such as immigration law, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, and workers' compensation law.
- Collaborating with senior attorneys on complex cases involving securities law, patent law, tribal law & regulations, and environmental issues.
- Maintaining organized records and documentation related to ongoing cases.
- Communicating effectively with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information for case management.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong research skills with proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation.
- Prior legal administrative experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge or experience in estate planning, environmental law, family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, securities law, patent law, tribal regulations, and litigation is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
