About the role:We are seeking an experienced and motivated Junior Associate Attorney to join our legal team in Atlanta, GA. This position will work closely with senior attorneys across a variety of practice areas, including personal injury, civil litigation, business and commercial litigation, nonprofit representation, and general counsel services.
The ideal candidate is a strong legal researcher and writer who can manage multiple matters, communicate confidently with clients, and take ownership of assigned cases while delivering thoughtful, high-quality legal representation.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct legal research involving personal injury, commercial litigation, corporate compliance, and Georgia law.
- Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence.
- Manage and support all phases of civil discovery, including document review, productions, exhibits, and deposition preparation.
- Prepare clients for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
- Attend hearings, depositions, and client meetings with senior attorneys or independently when appropriate.
- Review commercial contracts, corporate governance documents, and nonprofit policies.
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other legal professionals.
- Assist with case strategy, litigation preparation, and case file management.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to assigned clerical or paralegal support staff as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping records and detailed case notes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active Georgia Bar license in good standing.
- 3–5 years of relevant legal experience.
- Experience or strong interest in civil litigation, personal injury, business law, or related practice areas.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar legal research platforms.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and professional judgment.
- High emotional intelligence, discretion, and commitment to client-centered advocacy.
