Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Associate Attorney (3rd–6th Year) to join our legal team on a contract basis. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of legal matters, including business litigation, while collaborating with experienced attorneys in a fast-paced, professional environment.
The ideal candidate is a licensed California attorney with strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills who can effectively manage assignments and contribute to high-quality client representation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research platforms.
- Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, memoranda, contracts, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Assist in preparing for hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Organize and maintain case files, discovery materials, and supporting documentation.
- Support attorneys with client communications and ongoing case management.
- Assist with negotiations and case strategy development.
- Stay informed of legal developments relevant to business litigation and other practice areas.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to provide efficient, high-quality legal services.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
- 3–6 years of legal experience, preferably with business litigation or civil litigation experience.
- Proficiency with LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience drafting pleadings, motions, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Familiarity with case management systems and litigation support tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
