Our lawyers are organized into two departments—Business and Litigation—which are further organized into practice groups. Our award-winning Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group is one of the most active IP litigation practices in the U.S., regularly involved in high-stakes IP cases, including trade secrets. An American International Law Firm's intellectual property litigators win cases across the U.S. in all types of IP cases and across all venues, including district and appellate courts, international arbitration forums, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), the International Trade Commission (ITC), and the U.S. Supreme Court.
The IP Litigation Group is looking to hire a resource attorney whose overarching responsibility is to enable our practicing attorneys to be more informed, efficient, and successful. This attorney will not work directly for firm clients and therefore will not bill time.
Position Responsibilities:
Among the tasks for which the resource attorney for the IP Litigation group will be responsible are:
- Keeping current on all legal and regulatory developments relevant to the IP Litigation group.
- Developing topics for and assisting in the preparation of client alerts, white papers, blog posts and similar publications.
- Developing practice resources that will enhance the exchange of know-how within the groups and facilitate interaction with clients and prospective clients.
- Creating, maintaining and updating archives of work product and know-how.
- Assisting with coordination of speaking arrangements, webinars and materials.
- Working with our Marketing department to formulate and execute on our branding and presence and evaluating market trends.
- Collecting and providing information to the Marketing department to assist lawyers and the Marketing team with responses to RFPs and other opportunities for business development.
- Working with resources within our group to foster consistency, know-how and approach with clients and prospective clients.
- Coordinating with Professional Development to ensure and enhance the skills development of members of the group and firmwide training.
- Coordinating with Information Services to assess available technologies and to develop new solutions that can be used to leverage efficiencies within the group.
Skills & Experience:
The resource attorney must be a licensed attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience in patent litigation, as well as some trade secret litigation experience.

- Mastery of the substantive area of practice undertaken by the IP Litigation Group
