Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP is seeking a Trademark & Copyright Associate to work with its Intellectual Property practice group in our Atlanta, GA office. We are looking to add a team member with 2-4+ years of experience in a wide range of intellectual property matters.The individual will join a sophisticated practice that advises clients on developing and expanding their IP portfolios, including identifying and protecting innovations in a variety of global industries related to retail consumer goods, life sciences, industrial manufacturing, chemical industry, energy industry, hospitality, communications, automotive, electronics, e-commerce, and software. Additionally, the Associate will help safeguard these innovations and will have extensive interaction with a variety of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, technology sector leaders, emerging companies, and universities.
Trademark & Copyright Associate Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on U.S. and international trademark and copyright registration, including clearance, prosecution, and maintenance
- Manage and support global trademark and copyright portfolios, including audits, risk assessments, and strategic counseling
- Draft and negotiate IP-related agreements, including licenses, assignments, and coexistence agreements
- Assist with enforcement of intellectual property rights, including cease-and-desist matters and litigation support in state and federal courts and TTAB
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on trademark, copyright, and related intellectual property issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IP transactions and broader commercial matters
- Interface directly with clients, foreign counsel, and government offices, including the USPTO

The Associate position requires in-office presence three days per week. The salary is commensurate with years of relevant experience & geographic location. The salary range for our Associate position is $235,000-$310,000.
