Kitay Law Offices, known as "The Law Firm With a Heart," is seeking an Intake Attorney to serve as the primary legal decisionmaker within our growing Intake Department. This is a unique opportunity for an attorney who excels at client consultations, case evaluations, and relationship-building while working in a fully remote environment.

As the first attorney many prospective clients meet, you will play a critical role in helping individuals facing criminal defense, personal injury, and workers' compensation matters understand their legal options and make informed decisions about representation.

What You'll Do:

Legal Consultations & Client Engagement

Conduct phone and virtual consultations with prospective clients.
Evaluate criminal defense, personal injury, and workers' compensation matters.
Identify legal issues, liabilities, damages, deadlines, and potential risks.
Build trust and rapport quickly with prospective clients.
Explain legal options clearly and confidently.
Guide qualified prospects through the engagement and retainer process.
Help convert qualified consultations into retained clients while maintaining ethical standards.

Legal Analysis & Decision-Making

Make initial case acceptance and case rejection recommendations.
Assess legal viability and risk factors.
Review complex or high-value matters.
Collaborate with attorneys and leadership on challenging cases.
Serve as a legal resource for the Intake Team.

Documentation & Compliance

Prepare consultation summaries and case evaluations.
Maintain accurate records within SmartAdvocate or a similar case management system.
Ensure compliance with applicable legal and ethical requirements.
Review fee agreements and intake-related documentation.

What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active Pennsylvania Bar License in good standing.
Minimum 2 years of experience in one or more of the following:

Criminal Defense
Personal Injury
Workers' Compensation
Plaintiff Litigation
Pre-Litigation
Legal Intake

Strong legal analysis and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and client counseling abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience conducting legal consultations.
Fluent in both English and Spanish (Preferred)
Experience with client conversion or intake management.
Experience using SmartAdvocate or similar legal case management software.
Demonstrated ability to build client confidence and close qualified consultations.
