Job Summary:We are seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join our law firm, in our premises liability defense and/or our automobile (Bodily Injury) accident defense practice groups. In this role, you will provide legal counsel, perform legal research, draft documents, and update and maintain files. You will work closely with administrative staff, other colleagues, and senior partners to provide excellent legal services to our clients. The ideal candidate is experienced in all litigation phases. Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a case load
- Develop case strategies
- Provide legal advice to clients, carriers, and/or insureds
- Draft legal pleadings and motions
- Prepare for and attend legal proceedings
- Prepare for and attend depositions
- Negotiate on behalf of clients
Qualifications:
- Admitted to practice in New York State
- Previous experience premises liability defense and/or automobile (Bodily Injury) accident defense
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients
