Description:
Kent & McBride, P.C. a Civil Defense litigation firm with offices in Philadelphia, PA, Cherry Hill, NJ, Middletown, NJ and Wilmington, DE seeks to fill the following positions:Cherry Hill, NJ Office: Associate Attorney (2-5 years General Litigation)
Responsibilities: In conjunction with more senior attorneys, conduct discovery and prepare cases for trial- Make Court appearances for case management/status, settlement and pretrial conferences as well as motion hearings.- Draft Motion papers and Appellate Briefs.- Conduct Arbitration Hearings and Bench trials.- Negotiate settlements.
Minimum Qualifications: Juris Doctor degree with license to practice law in the State of New Jersey; additional admission in PA, and/or DE and/or NY a plus.
Preferred Qualifications: 3-6 years of General Litigation experience (Writing/Trials). Courtroom experience.- Excellent interpersonal skills (i.e., active listening, negotiation, persuasion).- Excellent analytical skills (i.e., critical thinking, independent problem solving and decision making).- Well-developed written communication skills.KM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
