Job Description and Duties:
A Government Entity is seeking an experienced attorney familiar with state government operations who can independently handle a variety of complex internal and external legal matters. The incumbent will directly advise the Chief Counsel and the A Government Entity's Executive Team on important legal questions relating to a wide variety of issues that impact the agency's daily operations, including employment and personnel issues and civil litigation. The incumbent will perform a diverse array of professional legal work supporting the agency's internal administrative support units as well as the agency's field staff who provide monitoring, oversight, and auditing of the state correctional system. The incumbent will also provide mentoring to junior attorneys and training addressing important legal issues for staff at all levels of the agency.
