Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, and family law. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft legal documents effectively. The Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in legal matters, providing sound legal advice, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in various areas of law including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, and tribal law & regulations.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and strategy.
- Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and other necessary paperwork with precision.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Prepare for and represent clients in court proceedings or other legal disputes.
- Maintain accurate records of case files and client communications within the law office.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure comprehensive client service.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in one or more areas of law such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, or tribal regulations.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
- Proficient in legal research using platforms like LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
- Prior experience in a legal administrative role is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
