Description:

Join a Firm Where Excellence, Purpose, and People Come First

At Immigration Group, we believe practicing immigration law is about far more than filing cases. It is about changing the trajectory of someone's life.

Every day, our team has the privilege of helping families stay together, protecting people fleeing persecution, and creating opportunities that change generations. We take that responsibility seriously.

We are one of the largest family-based immigration law firms in the United States, with more than 120 team members, over 30 attorneys, and decades of experience exclusively practicing immigration law. While we've grown into a large organization, we've intentionally preserved the culture of a family-run firm—one where attorneys are supported, heard, challenged, and genuinely cared for.

If you're looking for a place where your work matters, where collaboration is real, and where you'll continue growing as an attorney, we'd love to meet you.

What Makes Our Firm Different
At many firms, attorneys spend their days isolated behind files.

At Immigration Group, we believe the best legal representation comes from teamwork.

Our attorneys work side by side with highly trained legal assistants, paralegals, supervisors, and fellow attorneys who genuinely support one another. We discuss difficult cases together, share strategies, celebrate victories, and constantly look for better ways to serve our clients.

We value:
  • Excellence without ego
  • Compassion with accountability
  • Teamwork over competition
  • Constant learning and professional growth
  • Treating every client as if they were our own family

We don't expect perfection—but we do expect integrity, ownership, and a genuine desire to become better every day.

About the Position:
We're looking for an Immigration Attorney who is passionate about helping immigrant families and enjoys both the human and strategic side of immigration law.

Depending on your experience, your practice may include client consultations, legal strategy, document review, USCIS filings, removal defense, or a combination of all of these areas.

Rather than placing attorneys in isolation, we encourage collaboration across departments so every client benefits from multiple perspectives and strong legal analysis.

Whether you're reviewing a waiver, preparing an asylum case, or representing a client in Immigration Court, your work will directly impact people's lives.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Client Consultations & Legal Strategy
  • Conduct detailed immigration consultations
  • Analyze each client's immigration history and available relief
  • Develop customized legal strategies
  • Explain legal options with honesty, empathy, and clarity
  • Build lasting trust through consistent communication

Case Development & Review

  • Review immigration applications and supporting evidence
  • Identify legal issues and evidentiary gaps
  • Work closely with paralegals and legal assistants throughout case preparation
  • Ensure every filing meets our quality standards before submission
  • Provide guidance to support staff throughout the life of the case

USCIS Practice

  • Depending on your experience, you may prepare or review:
  • Family-based petitions
  • Adjustment of Status
  • Consular Processing
  • I-601 and I-601A Waivers
  • U Visas
  • VAWA
  • TPS
  • DACA
  • Humanitarian applications
  • Responses to RFEs and NOIDs
  • Litigation & Removal Defense (when applicable)

Represent clients before:
  • U.S. Immigration Court
  • USCIS
  • Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
  • Handle matters including:
  • Asylum
  • Cancellation of Removal
  • Bond Hearings
  • Motions to Reopen
  • Motions to Reconsider
  • Appeals
  • Complex removal defense matters
  • Prepare legal briefs, motions, witness preparation, and hearing strategy.

Team Collaboration
One of the reasons our attorneys succeed is because they are never practicing alone.

You Will:
  • Collaborate with fellow attorneys on challenging legal issues
  • Participate in case strategy discussions
  • Help improve internal processes
  • Mentor team members as you grow within the firm
  • Stay current on changes in immigration law and policy

What We're Looking For:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction
  • Immigration law experience preferred (USCIS, litigation, or both)
  • Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Native or near-native Spanish fluency required
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional quality
  • A genuine passion for serving immigrant communities
  • Why Attorneys Love Working Here

We know talented attorneys have options.
That's why we've worked hard to build a place where people want to stay—not just because of compensation, but because of the culture.

We offer:
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid Time Off
  • Ongoing legal education and mentorship
  • Opportunities for professional growth and leadership
  • A highly experienced support staff that allows attorneys to focus on practicing law
  • A collaborative environment where your ideas are welcomed
  • A mission-driven workplace where your work truly changes lives
  • Most importantly, you'll join a team that celebrates wins together, supports each other during challenges, and genuinely enjoys working together.

If This Sounds Like You...
If you're looking for more than just another legal job—if you're looking for a career where you can continue growing professionally while making a meaningful difference in the lives of immigrant families—we'd love to hear your story.

Come build your future with a firm that believes great attorneys are developed through mentorship, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
