- Represent clients in court proceedings, administrative hearings, and interviews with government agencies
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to stay current on immigration law developments
- Develop case strategies by analyzing facts, procedural law, and relevant statutes to optimize client outcomes
- Negotiate with government officials and other parties to resolve complex immigration issues effectively
- Maintain comprehensive case files using legal case management systems while ensuring timely updates and documentation
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction(s)
- Proven experience in immigration law with a strong understanding of procedural law and statutory legal research methods
- Familiarity with a broad spectrum of legal areas including family law, tribal law & regulations
- Skilled in legal writing, drafting contracts, trial preparation, court depositions, legal motions, and litigation strategies
- Excellent research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms for comprehensive case analysis
- Strong client communication abilities with a focus on clear explanation of complex legal concepts
- Experience in legal negotiation and advocacy to achieve favorable resolutions for clients
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high-quality work standards
- Prior law office experience preferred; familiarity with legal administrative processes highly valued
