Job Description:
  • Advise corporate and individual clients on U.S. immigration law, regulations, and agency guidance related to business immigration petitions (USCIS, DOL, DOS, CBP).
  • Prepare, review, and file nonimmigrant visa petitions and applications (e.g., L-1A/L-1B, O-1).
  • Prepare, review, and file immigrant visa petitions and applications (e.g., EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-1C, EB-2NIW).
  • Develop case strategy and perform eligibility analyses for employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant benefits.
  • Draft legal briefs, support letters, and responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs).
  • Monitor case status, regulatory changes, and policy updates affecting client matters; advise clients on risk mitigation and compliance.
  • Communicate with government agencies, including USCIS Service Centers, DOL, DOS, and U.S. consulates.
  • Maintain accurate case files and records in accordance with ethical obligations and client confidentiality requirements.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: J.D. from an accredited law school in the United States. Valid license to practice law from any U.S. state or the District of Columbia. 24 months' experience as a Business Immigration Attorney required. Must have taken immigration law course(s) or must have knowledge of general U.S. immigration principles, terminologies, and requirements. Excellent writing and communication skills.

Position: Legal Assistant
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Location: Houston, TX

Position Summary:
As a Legal Assistant, you will work directly with attorneys and clients to support case preparation and administrative operations. Prior immigration experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in drafting and filing immigration petitions and applications, including:
  • Non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions
  • Adjustment of status, waivers, consular processing, and asylum applications
  • Employment-based and investment-based cases
  • Naturalization forms and documentation
  • Organize and collect supporting documents and client information
  • Draft procedural correspondence and case updates
  • Conduct background research as needed
  • Maintain and update case files and software records
  • Respond professionally to client inquiries

Qualifications:
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in immigration law preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Reader, Zoom, and legal databases
  • Familiarity with immigration case management software is a plus
  • Professional, reliable, and committed to client service
