Minimum 3 years of immigration procedure experience required. Extensive experience with the following: L-1A/B, H-1B, H-1B1, TN and O-1 visa petitions, and employment based permanent resident petitions and applications required. Immigration work experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry preferred. The position will require the Legal Specialist to provide guidance on different visa applications, change of status petitions, and permanent resident petitions and applications to management and employees. The ideal candidate will create processes to ensure fast and accurate preparation of supporting documents and petitions/applications. The ideal candidate will maintain status charts and be able to create reports periodically. The position will require the performance of internal audits of employment authorization for employees as well as other USCIS and DOL required record keeping. Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently and under tight deadlines. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be attentive to detail; office organization and management experience, as required, with preferred experience in a legal setting.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage team of paralegals.
- Manage PERM Program.
- Manage Blanket L-1 Program.
- Handle all work visa/work status queries.
- Manage work of outside immigration counsel.
- Manage Deemed Export Licensing Program.
- Workdays & Hours: M-F, 1st Shift (8 am - 5 pm)
Skills and Qualifications:
- JD or LLM form an accredited US law school.
- Current and valid US state and District of Columbia bar license.
- Minimum 7 years of experience with PERM and NIV petitions/applications ( including Blanket L, H-1b, L-1, etc.)
- Significant experience with preparing RFE responses and dealing with NOIDs.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing paralegals on business immigration petition filings.
- Bilingual Korean language skills a plus.
