An Immigration Attorney is an immigration law firm based in Nashville, Tennessee and in Atlanta, Georgia. We work primarily with the Latino community to adjust their status within the United States. Our main practice involves victims of domestic abuse. We are looking for an Attorney with US immigration law experience to assist with immigration work in our growing team.Job Summary:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide case options for immigration relief.
- Provide legal advice and representation clients seeking immigration benefits.
- Consulting with clients to determine their immigration needs and goals
- Representing clients in immigration court proceedings
- Appealing immigration denials and seeking remedies
- Monitoring changes in immigration laws and policies.
- Conducting research on complex immigration issues.
- Review and approve legal packs for submission.
- Uphold professional and ethical standards of practice at all times.
- Assist managing attorney with cases and other attorney duties as may be assigned from time to time.
We are hiring for both a part time and full-time position with normal office hours i.e. 5 working days a week. Office hours are Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm. You may be required to work on some Saturdays for consults.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Licensed attorney.
- Knowledgeable and experienced working in immigration preferred.
- Detail-oriented.
- Passionate about helping immigrants and the Latino community.
- Strong communication and advocacy skills.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) will be an advantage.
- Prior experience in a law office setting is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
