Description:
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Counsel to join our legal team. As a Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to our organization. This is a full-time position based in our office.
Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues and cases
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, including negotiations and litigation
- Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization's operations
- Collaborate with external counsel when necessary
- Assist with legal administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively and resolve disputes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
