About the role:
Parker Poe is seeking a junior associate with one to three years of experience to join our growing Healthcare Practice Group in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position involves a practice that focuses on healthcare regulatory compliance and administrative litigation involving state licensure actions, payor recoupments, and false claims actions.

The ideal candidate will have previous litigation experience, especially healthcare-related matters, including medical malpractice.  Candidates who have healthcare compliance experience with a strong interest in litigation would also be a fit for this role. Responsibilities will include regulatory compliance research; analyzing healthcare compliance questions; drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery; taking and defending depositions and supporting trial preparation; and assisting with hearings and court appearances.

The position will provide regular exposure to health care regulatory issues, including HIPAA and Part 2; False Claims Act, Stark, and Anti-Kickback Statute; facility licensure matters; and reimbursement rules.

Candidates must demonstrate strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to responsive client service, attention to detail, and collaboration is essential. North Carolina State Bar licensure (or the ability to become licensed within one year) is required.
