Growing Health Law practice in the Lake Mary/Sanford market with an excellent client base seeks a diligent, detail-oriented, driven and highly motivated attorney for an immediate job opening. Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed in progress, as necessary, and upon completion. The working environment consists of a close-knit group of attorneys and staff working together as a team on contractual, medical malpractice, litigation, transactional, and HIPAA matters as well as other complex cases.Ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, must excel in computer skills, have excellent academic credentials, solid research and writing skills, and interpersonal communications skills, be highly organized and detail oriented, and be able to work as part of a team. Candidate is also expected to be a motivated self-starter with a desire to excel in their chosen practice area and must have the ability to work both in a group and autonomously. Medical malpractice experience and/or understanding of medical issues, in addition to experience with federal and Florida health care administrative laws, is preferred.
Qualifications:
- JD from accredited Law School
- Must be admitted to practice in Florida
- Medical Malpractice experience or Business/Transactional Litigation experience preferred, but not required
- Federal and Florida health care administrative experience preferred, but not required
- Solid understanding of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure
- Very strong logic and analytical skills
- Superior writing and oral communication skills
- Computerized legal research skills (Westlaw preferred)
- Deposition experience preferred
- Some trial experience preferred
- Grasp, comprehend, and analyze complex legal issues and complicated factual details
- Efficiently operate a computer, utilize Microsoft Office Suite, and various other software programs
