Polsinelli is seeking a highly-qualified and motivated attorney to join our Health Care Alignment and Organizations practice group, which sits in our nationally-recognized Health Care Department. This position is open to any of our offices, with a strong preference for our St. Louis, Nashville, Denver, Los Angeles, Chicago or Dallas offices. This role is focused on supporting our health care clients with their regulatory and compliance needs in the context of various health care transactions. Interested candidates should have excellent academic credentials, experience in a law firm or similar environment and superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.The ideal candidate will possess 3 to 5 years of experience supporting health care transactions. Detailed knowledge of the industry and regulatory landscape is required, with current knowledge of changing impacts to the health care business. Additional experience in home health, hospice and home care, behavioral health, physician practice management, and/or hospitals and health systems is a plus.
The Duties of This Position Include the Following:
- Support health care transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, including coordinating the work of the various health care sub-specialties.
- Spot and analyze key health care issues impacting transactions including anti-kickback, Stark, licensing, enrollment, and reimbursement
- Coordinate all regulatory notifications and filings.
- Manage and drive strategy and risk mitigation for a wide range of regulatory and compliance legal issues in transactions.
- Stay abreast of evolving regulations in health care, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
- Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence on potential targets, ensuring an understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance aspects and draft components of the due diligence report.
- Identify regulatory compliance, contractual negotiations, and critical aspects of health care transactions.
- Assist with health care review and comment of the purchase agreement, disclosure schedules and other applicable documents
- Implement best practices and process improvements for managing the regulatory aspects of health care transactions.

Compensation: Salary will range between $240,000-$420,000 annually, depending on experience. A discretionary bonus may also be available based on performance.
