We regularly attract judicial clerks from the United States Supreme Court, Federal Appellate and District Courts and many state courts. Qualifications:
We are currently seeking talented post-clerk associates to join our Government Contractor Litigation & Compliance Practice Group in our Washington, DC office. The successful candidate can expect to work on a wide variety of extraordinarily complex legal issues for our clients, who include government contractors and recipients of federal grants from the Department of Defense, civilian agencies, intelligence agencies, and the National Aeronautics and Space Agency, among others. We litigate these high-stakes cases primarily before administrative judges (e.g., the Government Accountability Office) and the Court of Federal Claims. Competitive candidates for this role must have a demonstrated interest in government procurement bid protests and in litigating claims involving government contracts and grants.
  • Candidates should be detail-oriented, independent self-starters with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A strong academic record is required.
  • A federal judicial clerkship, particularly at the Court of Federal Claims, is given significant weight.
  • Candidates should possess a strong commitment to pro bono representation.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment is essential.
  • Membership in the Washington, DC bar is required.

Compensation:
Our compensation is top of the market. The firm pays a market competitive clerkship bonus to those who join immediately following a clerkship with the Supreme Court of the United States, a federal appellate court, a federal district court, or a state's highest court. The starting base salary for this position is expected to be $225,000 - $260,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, relevant experience, and other position-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
