Description:
Cadwalader's Fund Finance team is seeking staff attorneys in our
Charlotte, NC office. Candidates must be barred or have already applied
for admission to the bar. The Fund Finance Group represents financial
institutions providing financing to private equity funds. As a staff
attorney in the Fund Finance Group, your responsibilities will include
reviewing and answering certain diligence questions with respect to a
private equity fund's organizational documents, such as the limited
partnership agreement and any side letter agreements entered into
between the private equity fund and an investor. With the guidance of
senior members of the deal team, you would also be responsible for
drafting documentation to memorialize the loan to the private equity
fund and the security pledged in support of such loan. The position
requires strong time management skills and the ability to simultaneously
manage responsibilities on multiple engagements. Note that this is not
an associate-level role, but strong performers are eligible for
promotion to associate within six months to one year of practice.
