Crowell & Moring, a global Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking an Associate or Counsel to join our Financial Services team in New York. This role involves representing banks, hedge funds, and other financial institutions in negotiating various trading agreements, including International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) agreements, Global Master Repurchase Agreements (GMRA), prime brokerage agreements, and securities lending agreements. The position also includes drafting, structuring, and negotiating swap transactions, with a primary focus on credit and credit-linked swaps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and draft ISDAs, GMRAs, prime brokerage agreements, securities lending agreements, and other trading agreements.
- Structure and negotiate swap transactions, particularly credit and credit-linked swaps.
- Provide regulatory expertise in the application of Dodd-Frank to derivatives.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure compliance and optimize transaction outcomes.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years of substantive experience in derivatives
- Background in lending, secured/structured transactions, creditors' rights, or bankruptcy is beneficial.
- Regulatory expertise in Dodd-Frank application to derivatives, is a plus

Our Firm is committed to fair and equitable compensation practice in accordance to applicable laws. The salary range for this position is $320,000 to $355,000. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus. Other benefits include healthcare, vision, dental, retirement, and all-purpose leave. The salary for this position may vary based on market data, an applicant's skills and prior experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other factors.
