We are seeking attorneys who thrive in litigation, take ownership of their work, and want to grow as advocates, mentors, and leaders.
Position Levels and Compensation
Candidates will be considered for the appropriate level based on their experience, litigation background, Family and Matrimonial Law knowledge, leadership capabilities, and professional accomplishments.
Associate Attorney: $110,000–$125,000
For attorneys developing or expanding their Family and Matrimonial Law careers.
Senior Associate Attorney: $125,000–$145,000
For experienced litigators who can independently manage complex cases, develop legal strategy, counsel clients, negotiate resolutions, and produce advanced written work.
Non-Equity Partner: $150,000
For accomplished Family and Matrimonial Law attorneys with advanced litigation, case-management, mentoring, and leadership capabilities.
All attorneys may also participate in the firm's Quarterly KPI Bonus Program. Bonuses are not guaranteed.
What You'll Do:
- Represent clients in New York Family Court and Supreme Court.
- Handle divorce, custody, visitation, child support, spousal maintenance, equitable distribution, enforcement, modification, and post-judgment matters.
- Manage contested, complex, and high-conflict cases.
- Develop case strategies and guide clients through negotiation, settlement, litigation, hearings, and trial.
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, affidavits, discovery materials, agreements, briefs, and legal memoranda.
- Maintain proactive, timely, and compassionate communication with clients.
- Manage deadlines, billing entries, case documentation, and matter progression.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, Client Relation Managers, and operational teams.
- Meet the firm's expectations for productivity, responsiveness, professionalism, and client service.
- Mentor and support less-experienced attorneys when appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in New York and current good standing.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent communication and client-counseling abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.
- Sound judgment, professionalism, and accountability.
- Ability to work in person from one of the firm's New York offices.
- Ability to attend court appearances, client meetings, training, and firm events as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Family and Matrimonial Law experience.
- Experience appearing in New York Family Court or Supreme Court.
- Experience handling contested matters, motion practice, hearings, depositions, or trials.
- Experience managing complex or high-conflict cases.
- Leadership, mentoring, training, or supervisory experience.
- Portable business, referral relationships, or business-development experience for Non-Equity Partner candidates.
