Description:Our law group is growing, and we are looking for a sharp family attorney who will zealously represent clients in all areas of family law. You'll assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Responsibilities:
- Manage an assigned caseload from intake and pleadings through mediation, hearing, trial, and final judgment.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement documents, and proposed orders.
- Appear at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials throughout Florida as assigned.
- Maintain timely client communication and clear documentation in the case-management system.
- Direct paralegal work, calendar deadlines, and collaborate with the legal team on case strategy.
- Meet ethical, quality, productivity, and client-service standards.
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted membership in The Florida Bar.
- Family-law litigation experience in Florida.
- Strong legal writing, negotiation, courtroom, and client-management skills.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and a full caseload.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for proceedings when required.
Compensation:
$101,000 - $159,000
